When it's a warm weekend and the sun is finally back and shining over the UK, it's the perfect excuse to get friends and family over for a delicious meal. If you've ever tried saffron cake you'll no doubt agree it truly is delicious. Saffron cake is a well-known Cornish treat traditionally baked for a special occasion; it's a dense textured fruited cake with a rich yellow colour.
