You may have heard that pop-up restaurant The Cube by Electrolux is travelling around Europe. So far it has graced the peaks of Milan’s Cathedral, has been perched on top of the Parc du Cinquantiere in Brussels and will land on the roof of the Royal Opera House in Stockholm on 15th June. It will also be coming to London. Cue brass band. On 1st June it will be pitching up at the top of The Royal Festival Hall and here at ACHICA Living we can’t wait to book a seat – not least to enjoy the views over The Thames (aka The Kink'...View more

Looking for somewhere special to eat this weekend? Paramount might just you’re your fancy. Towering over Oxford Street, Richard Seifert’s Centrepoint tower is an impressive 60’s monument, allegedly built on the site of some former gallows. The top three floors are haloed in intriguing colourful lights, which lured me up to sample the delights of the newly opened Paramount restaurant.
The experience starts as soon as you enter the foyer, where a suited doorman calls your lift for you to zoom up 32 floors to the restaurant. The...View more

Ever since the first knomo range of bags were launched at Selfridges five years ago, I couldn't help but wonder what the name knomo actually means? "We often get asked this question,' say knomo. 'The name is formed from the words “knowledge” and “mobility”. We've always been a little embarrassed by these words as they sound rather serious and lack the passion and personality that goes into every knomo bag, but at the end of the day it's who we are. Life is moving fast. Every day is different - somedays you're working fr...View more

Do you have a bit of a love/hate relationship with London? I do. I love it, but it seems to hate me: always making me late, always making me mutter the unmutterable when I'm on a packed tube. But I don't like to complain - London had me at hello. It's great to see Barbara Coupe paying homage to London i...View more

I recently chatted to gorgeous Gordon to discover what inspires him, what his favourite comfort food is and to find out why he missed out on joining the police force!
If you hadn't been a chef which career path would you have wanted to pursue? Other than footy!
That’s a hard one! I looked at joining the police, but I didn’t have enough qualifications. I’ll say a Formula 1 driver - what a great job!
Who inspires you and why?
My mum still inspires me to this day - she’s an incr...View more

The smoky Capital is a popular theme gracing the print screens of some of the most exciting interior designers right now. We’re not talking tacky tourist souvenir shops selling London-bus fridge magnets and umbrellas. Oh no. We’re onto something edgier - quirky depictions and mentions of the city on soft furnishings and accessories, in ways we’ve never seen before.
Aside from the caffeine-fuelled stress, noise and pollution - okay, so we realise it goes with the territory - we’...

I was lucky enough to gain access to some of the greenest corners of the city last weekend, thanks to the Great London Garden Trail. For those who missed the event here's some highlights.
I braved the torrential rain showers that threatened to mar the day and wandered through some inspirational secret gardens. Varying in size from rooftop oases to multi-acre stunner, the gardens had colourful blooms, fragrant foliage, stunning landscaping and fantastic water features.

Afternoon tea wouldn't feel right without some utterly fabulous nibbles and biscuits. Take inspiration from London’s Berkeley Hotel and its Pret-A-Portea fashionista tea: You begin with the traditional pot of tea, champagne and cucumber sandwiches, but the real show-stoppers are the fashion-themed cakes and biscuits that follow, all inspired by top designers.
Our favourites were the mini sunshine yellow Luella dress and Chanel 2.55 bag, but the fashionab...View more
