Top 5 designs from Stockholm Design Week

Not only is Stockholm a fascinating city but it has become a melting pot for innovative and fabulous design. We recently headed along to Stockholm Design Week to take a look at the latest in Scandinavian design. It is with great difficulty that we have managed to whittle down what we saw into a top 5...

Farg & Blanche

Design duo Farg and Blanche have merged fashion with design in the creation of their FAB couture range. Each chair can be used ‘naked’ or ‘dressed’ with any one of a number of covers (above) turning it into something truly unique and special.

Note Design Studio

A collective of six designers, Note Design Studio not only designed Greenhouse, the student section of Stockholm Furniture Fair, but it also had items on the stands of several manufacturers and an exhibition of work at its waterfront studio. One design that caught our eye was the Vinge light, with a ‘wing’ that rotates by 180 degrees to control its brightness.

The String shelving system is a design classic in Sweden, and it’s easy to see why. Clean, modernist lines and flexible configuration make it suitable for a multitude of purposes, from bedroom to bathroom and from kitchen to home office.

Inject some fun into your everyday furniture with the Scherlin wardrobe system. It comes in peppermint green and brass and is simply fabulous - understated but functional. What a great way to start the day.

Last but not least, Zweed has created a range of customisable office furniture in a cool Scandinavian palette of woods, whites and greys, which we love. The colours help to create a calm environment that makes for a creative mind.
