Inside the fabric house that is JAB Anstoetz

Sometimes someone makes you an offer you just can’t refuse. Like last week when the people at design house JAB Anstoetz asked if I’d like to visit the showroom for a coffee, just around the corner from The Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour. It’s a hub for all interior stylists, designers and hommies in general.
I had heard of JAB of course. As a stylist I’m always on the look out for the next new look and as a result have seen various beautiful fabric swatches over the years to say the least. But, when I stepped into the JAB showroom I wasn’t expecting to see such a vast collection of fabrics in every shade, design and texture.

The showroom is bursting with inspirational looks. I just wish I had more windows to dress and more sofas to cover with cushions!

The Provence range (above) caught my eye. It’s a gorgeous design with a pattern of cream, white and blue. Very calming. The oversized scale of the scrolling leaves design is easy on the eye. Its a classic design that's been brought right up to date.

Inside the showroom (below) there are looks to suit all homes. See the little red books on those shelves? Each one of those sample books contains a whole new colour pallete for that particular design. There’s thousands to choose from.

The fabric hanging rails (above) are a great way to see the scale and pattern repeats. Some of the designs are really large so a small swatch just won’t do...

The Crewel work design is another design worth noting, again with a bold oversized pattern. Trend alert! As well as being used for the living room, I can see it suiting a garden cushion or two, for lounging on in the summer sunshine...
