But I’ve yet to see them depicted in such a stunning fashion as I've seen them in Joanna Charlotte’s beautiful bird paintings. From her studio in Crystal Palace, Joanna Charlotte's paintings are created using many thin layers of paint, which she builds up to create a luscious highly decorative surface. Step inside this beautiful South-West London home owned by ACHICA members Ros and Andrew. The couple live here with their four children, Nina, Billy, Ellen, Kit and Jimmy the Springer Spaniel...

Still a fountain of knowledge on how to turn the b...View more

To look at interiors magazines, you would think that Shabby Chic has been the biggest trend of the year. Its return has been heralded as a move back to making the house a home, an easy-to-live-with excuse for not repainting anything and covering old sofas in dusty throws. But actually, what has translated better into the way we live is ‘Factory Chic’. It’s like the Shabby version, in that it means your i...View more

Are you a film buff? Is Philip French’s film review section your first port of call when you open The Observer on a Sunday? Do you get twitchy if a week passes without getting your money’s worth on your LoveFilm subscription by watching more than two films? If you answered yes to any of the above, then I have an inkling that you’ll love Claudia Varosio's film posters, which are on promotion at ACHICA<...View more
